Chondro status is a genetic test that determines the size of a mini cow. Chondro positive cows will have shorter legs making them a micro-mini cow. Chondro negative cows will usually fall in the mini to mid-size range. However when breeding, you cannot breed two chondro positive animals together.

Breeding cows that are both chondro postitive needs to be avoided to prevent lethal bulldog calf defects.
